Update: I went to Sams and bought some jeans with big front pockets – Members Mark Relaxed Fit, durable heavy weight denim. I have thought about getting a smaller gun but this gun shoots so well in my hand that I have decided rather to make this one work rather than get something else. Right now I carry it inside the waistband with my shirttail out but I won’t be able to do that in cold weather. The Subcompact is just a bit too big for pocket carry, so I am looking for some pants with bigger pockets. Once I have heard the “BOOM” of the first shot, I am fully focused and more careful for that 2nd easy (single action) shot. Double action trigger is not that hard, but it is a bit harder and longer, which reminds me that I am about to shoot the gun. I can either cock the gun or leave it uncocked while in the holster – I prefer uncocked, because it is safer that way. I put the safety on, holster it, and turn the safety off. ![]() I have a kydex holster made for my gun, so I am confident in carrying it with the safety off – nothing is going to move the trigger as long as it is securely in the holster. My favorite feature is the decocker/safety, which goes with the hammer-fired single action / double action. It is easy to operate and a great gun all around. I highly recommend this gun for novice and expert shooters. The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact has plenty of room on the grip for my pinkie.Īnything else you would like to share about the gun? I dislike when I cannot rest my pinkie finger on the grip. The grip is big enough for my hands to feel comfortable holding. The gun is comfortable, reliable, and the best I have ever shot. However, I do find putting the barrel and spring back together to sometimes be a bit of a challenge, but with practice, I have gotten a lot better - and I do it by myself.įor someone considering this gun, what would you tell them? The PX4 Storm Compact is extremely easy to dissemble. What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?Ī little to big for me to conceal and carry. The PX4 Storm Compact is extremely reliable! I have never had a jam to date (I have owned it for a year and have gone to the range at least 25 times with this gun).Īny problems with any type of ammunition? I did rent several guns before deciding on this one. The size of the gun helps absorb a lot of the recoil. It does require a grip and a little muscle to rack the slide however, from the several dozen pistols I test fired before deciding on this one, it is one of the easier ones to rack in my option. I have bad carpal tunnel in my hands, but I find the slide easy to rack. I haven’t yet found a need to buy new sights. The factory sights are okay, but they would be difficult to see in low light situations. How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil? Even though I bought this gun for home defense, it is also my go-to gun for the range. The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact is easy to keep on target. The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact feels balanced in my hands, comfortable to hold, and the trigger is amazing! I could shoot this gun all day long at the range. It isn’t too heavy, shoots amazingly accurate, even at 25 yards. The PX4 Storm Compact comes with 3 different rear grips. What features does this gun have that appealed to you? At a minimum, I'd like to do the trigger stuff, safety lever, mag release kit (high), recoil spring assembly, cam block, and sights.Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Usage & Features There's also another PX4 Storm safety Lever that I didn't list. But, I might try to just Youtube my way through this.
